The Legend of the Lingxi Spirit Mirror

There are two great rivers in the world: Mingchuan and Miaochuan. Beyond them lies the realm of Hunyi, the realm of Changqing… To the east, Ming is home to the desolate spirits; to the north, dragons, and to the south, winged ones; in the west dwell the fallen ghosts, while the mortal realm lies at the center… Ling Lan, former crown prince of the Dragon Clan, went into hiding after a great conspiracy. By chance, he encountered Yanxi, an ancient mirror spirit who had just awakened. At the request of the ancestral spirit Xuzu, Ling Lan helps Yanxi recover the five other spirit essences scattered a thousand years ago. Together, they venture through the five clans and search for Miaochuan, seeking the sacred tome of the Earth Mother so they can subdue the evil spirit of a fierce beast that accidentally broke free of the Earth Mother’s seal a thousand years ago…

Purest and wildest in youth, loyal and brave in the dawn of life, sorrowful as the yellow swallows, holding fast to their vows in the twilight of old age. Evil and profane, lost to silence; the five forms return to the spirit, reflected as Yanxi.

“Yanxi and I will never part, not in ten thousand lifetimes.”

“Ling Lan and I will grow old together by the river.”
