Legends of the Immortal Realm: The Tale of Spirit Bonds

I think of you, but where are you? I long for you, but you never come. I want to stay by your side forever. I hope we can remain together always. I cannot escape this longing. It all began with the heavenly marriage decree personally bestowed by the Heavenly Emperor… He was the Star Lord of Fate in the Celestial Realm, whose duty was to selflessly serve all living beings. She was the Immortal of the Spirit Pool, whose daily routine in the Jade Pool consisted of causing mischief and getting into trouble. But one decree of marriage from the Heavenly Emperor tied their fates together forever… As immortals, they had a duty to protect all living beings. When the day came to face a powerful enemy, they would not hesitate to sacrifice themselves, even if it meant vanishing into oblivion… “My dear, I may not be able to protect you anymore. You’ll have to learn to protect yourself…” After tens of thousands of years as an immortal, the Star Lord of Fate had never thought there was anything wrong with sacrificing himself for the Heavenly Way. But seeing his wife’s tears filled him with sorrow… He had once hoped to live in the Celestial Realm with her as an immortal couple envied by all the other gods. Now, that seemed impossible… The Immortal of the Spirit Pool was devastated, her heart shattered… She flew forward and caught the Star Lord of Fate as he slowly drifted down from the sky. Perhaps he would never hear her words again, but she longed to see her husband’s handsome, warm presence by her side once more. Only with him there could she happily run wild and throw tantrums… She had never known that this sudden, overwhelming grief could awaken the limitless immortal power within her… The Immortal of the Spirit Pool summoned this unknown force and smiled at her husband. “You’ve always been the one to protect me. Today, let your unlearned wife change everything…”
