Divided into three parts: "Amber City", "Sleeping City" and "Promised City", it tells the story of Ye Zhenqing, a post-80s girl who is wandering between harm and redemption, in the third person. The "city" is the stage, and the people are the characters who appear on the stage. The conflict-ridden family, the emotional entanglement with Luo Jun and Lu Ming, and the people and things encountered in the city, these constitute the joys and sorrows of "Happy City". It is the first time after "Twilight" and "Mallow" that the author challenges new stories and new themes with a new attitude, trying to penetrate the narrative ambition into the core of people and the city, and interpret the story of the new city.
