The Rogue Girl of the Farm

Ruan Yuanyuan becomes a burden her mother brings along when she remarries. Forced to split from the family, they end up in a poor household that can barely afford three meals a day. Faced with her sharp-tongued stepsister, she leers at her figure and warns, “Bully my mother again, and I’ll marry you off, spend your dowry, and squeeze your brother dry.” When she spots a handsome man drowning, Ruan Yuanyuan waits until he’s too weak to keep struggling before jumping in to save him. Then, with a perfectly clear conscience, she roughly pounds and gropes his chest, remarking, “He’s got a nice feel, but that face is too good at attracting trouble. You can repay me for saving your life with silver!” Ruan Yuanyuan builds a fortune and works her way toward a comfortable life, using her fists to put bullies in their place. If she can settle things with her hands, she won’t waste words. She firmly believes that life is all about exercise. Her arrogant husband-to-be latches onto her: “It’s because you’re so adorably round. I just want to hold you, stay by your side, and squish you any way I like.”
