This story revolves around the French Concession and Public Concession in Shanghai from the late 1920s to the early 1930s. Taking the love story of Chu Xiangxun and Ling Xianci as the main line, it reveals the joys and sorrows of women at the bottom of the class, as well as the story of a trafficker and a gangster's bitter journey to make a living.
