Your Majesty Always Wants to Marry Me

When they first met, she mistook him for a womanizer and slapped him hard. Only then did she realize she'd crossed a powerful, ruthless man with a wicked streak.

She was the empire's infamous ugly good-for-nothing, sold out by her scumbag father and married off to the crippled, disgraced Ghost King as his consort.

A good-for-nothing paired with a cripple: everyone was waiting for a laugh. But then the Ghost King recovered overnight, seized the throne, abolished his harem, and doted on his one and only empress like she was the most precious thing in the world.

All the women in the realm envy the Empress for being showered with affection, but they don't know she's rubbing her aching lower back and smashing things at the emperor. “I only slapped you once back then. Do you really have to hold a grudge all these years and wear me out like this?”

“Slapping the emperor's face? You should be grateful I'm only making you pay for it for the rest of your life.” He crooked a finger at her with a wicked smile. “Are you coming over on your own, or should I go drag you over?”
