Nan Yan's Love

On his first day in Qiong City, Su Yanzhi got cornered by a bunch of people. He could only chalk it up to bad luck. The narrow alley was dim, run-down, and filthy. Even the streetlight at its entrance was broken. He got a firsthand look at the chaos of a small town. Su Yanzhi stepped in the mud left by the dirty, melting snow and looked up to see a girl in a flimsy school uniform sitting on top of the wall. She blocked the faint daylight behind her, seeming like salvation sent from above. She tilted her head and whistled at the gang of thugs, her face full of playful arrogance. “Sorry, but I’m claiming this one.” She was so brazen she seemed utterly untouchable.
