A Thousand-Year Chronicle of the White-Robed Lord

[History can make people clear-eyed, but it can also blind them.]

Your Majesty,

Given your circumstances, you must do what you must. Command the winds and rain, and fight until your dying breath.

Given my circumstances, I must do what I must. Shield myself from wind and rain, and seek eternal life.

I know I cannot bring you back from the dead. I cannot write the Records of the Grand Historian to clear your name, nor can I prove the injustice you suffered.

But future generations must not deny the imperial system, nor bury the Qin bamboo slips again.

Let me clear your name after a thousand years of injustice, then I will join you in the Yellow Springs. Wait for me...
