Silk and Makeup

Clothes woven from silk and satin cannot weave away the obsession in one's heart, and makeup applied by skilled hands cannot capture the deep affection in one's eyes.

You wagered your soul for my sliver of hope. I used my love to resolve every obsession, all so I could return to your side.

A weaver maiden who has wandered a tower for years, a princess who falls for an enemy general, a wealthy young lady with only a day's worth of memories, a ghost trapped in an academy...

I help them lay their obsessions to rest, feeling their love, hate, grief, and sorrow as if they were my own. Again and again, I think of you, whom I have forgotten yet still love deeply. I hope we, too, can have a chance to change our ending, just as they did. May I one day take your hands in mine and whisper in your ear with a smile, “I love you.”
