Catching the Stars: An Encounter with an International Superstar

Synopsis Time passes, and even if the years leave no trace, the love we have known can carve a fierce mark upon the soul. One is an international superstar, radiant as the blazing sun; the other is an unremarkable college student. He stands at the top of the world, brimming with pride, and then he meets her, an ordinary girl. Perhaps it was fate, or perhaps Heaven had heard her prayers: at last, she comes to be by his side. During their time together, he watches her quietly; when she leaves without warning, she takes all his longing with her. At last, he stands at the center of the world, singing his dream aloud, while she quietly vanishes from his life, carrying all her sorrow and leaving behind a lifetime of longing across two lives. She says, “‘Starlight’ is yours. If you don’t throw it away, perhaps one day you’ll see it and think of me one more time...” Hidden beneath that dazzling brilliance is a line of tiny writing. When he finally discovers it, he is overwhelmed with joy. Bei Youzhong: The moment I realized you were truly gone, I finally understood that I was the one who wanted you more, while all you had was a wish. Your presence faded with the passing light, and my world began to yearn for the far shore... If... you really never come back. He Mujiu: The more time I spent by your side, the closer I got, the more it all felt like a dream. Xiao Zhong, I knew from the beginning that we would never have a future... To me, you were like a star in the sky, something I never dared hope to possess. From now on, with the world between us, I’ll spend my life remembering the memories you gave me, even if one day you finally forget me. Helian Qizhen: You’re the only one who doesn’t know that I love you. Fei Yi: I always thought your arrival was the result of a sudden act of kindness on my part. That year suddenly became wonderful, and as I reveled in the feelings you brought me, I gradually began to want you for myself. It wasn’t until I saw ‘Starlight’ that I finally understood: you really hadn’t come for me... So, in the very end, Will he find the girl he once knew again? And will she finally hold the brightest star in her heart? This is a slow-burn story. Note: The character Zhong in Chong is pronounced with the second tone.
