Mr. Tang's Chestnut Pastry

The rumor that she had been dumped at the altar by the eldest young master of the Ling family spread through the entire city like wildfire. Amid the crowd’s uproar, Su Li married into another wealthy family. The Ling family had just thrown her out, and in the blink of an eye she married a man ten Ling families couldn’t measure up to: Tang Jinglin. After they married, his scandals were enough to drown out the headlines, but the new Mrs. Tang never said a word. Until one day, his newest darling humiliated her in public. Su Li slapped her, then smiled sweetly. “Those eyes, that nose… How much did you pay to get them made to look like mine?” Mr. Tang’s face darkened on the spot. Under the stunned and curious gazes of everyone around them, he smiled and hooked a finger under her chin. “I thought Mrs. Tang was going to play deaf and dumb for the rest of her life. Turns out you’re a cat with claws hidden away.” This story is mostly sweet with a little angst. Check out my new novel, Chuan Hui Zhou Du, next door!
