Love, Sweet Love

Miao Ya, a village girl from the Ningxia border region, gets into college in Beijing. To pay her tuition, she turns to selling her body, and soon finds herself unable to stop. Even contracting AIDS fails to make her quit; instead, it intensifies her desire for revenge against men. This way of thinking sets her on a colorful, bizarre path through life.

Yang Ming, a wealthy and handsome man from the capital, is bisexual and lives a debauched life. It isn't until he contracts HIV that he begins to restrain himself and reflect. When the world as he sees it clashes with reality, a tragic life seems inevitable. Yet he manages to live in his own distinctive way.

Through the two protagonists' meeting, falling in love, and ultimately helpless ending, this realistic novel reveals the thoughts and lifestyles of high-risk groups in the city. You are surely different from them, but they are all around you. How much do you know about them?
