A Fox on the Runway

I’m Gu Xixi, female, 25 years old, a runway model at New Star Modeling Agency. My nickname is Little Fox, the Little Fox everyone loves to hate. I’ve spent my days navigating the cutthroat modeling world, and it’s taught me to have no shame whatsoever. On the very day the company was acquired, I ran into an old acquaintance from six years ago on the runway: Han Zichuan.

He’s my new boss?

He is my new boss!

After the show, Mama Li remained expressionless as she gently lifted my chin with her fingertips and looked me over from side to side, as though inspecting a work of art to see if it had been polished to her satisfaction.

“Get ready. Tonight, you’re going somewhere with the new boss of Ge’er Company.” Once he had finished inspecting me, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction, he issued his decree without warning.

“What?!” I gaped in shock, my mouth wide enough to swallow an egg.

“What? You don’t want to?”

“...Why me?”

“Why you? I’d like to know that myself!” He gave me a knowing smile, as though he had me right where he wanted me.

But the accident six years ago had forced us to go our separate ways. Was our reunion now part of a scheme, or fate? And what about Lu Chen’s arrival? Was it all a twist of fate, or had it been deliberately arranged?

He was no longer the person he had been back then...

And he wasn’t the person he was now, either...

Where would we go from here...
