The Youth of Yesteryear

I recommend Shushu's work! It's amazing: "Beauty That Topples a City: The Cold Consort's Spoiled Love" http://novel.hongxiu.com/a/388178/

We stand together on this island, gazing up at the blue sky. The story of youth is like a dream, dazzlingly beautiful, yet painful enough to leave scars.

“I’m leaving. Goodbye.” She turned away resolutely and walked into the distance with the boy beside her.

“If fate allows, we’ll meet again.” He watched her board the plane with a smile, a faint sadness in his eyes. The crowd drowned out his words.

She sat in the cabin, holding the gift he had given her in both hands and leafing through a notebook with a smile. On its pages bloomed a delicate tear.

“You’re definitely going to fall in love with me. I’ll be right here waiting for you!” He tossed his hair with a confident grin, holding a basketball.

“What a show-off.” She smiled too, looking happier than ever.

“If I didn’t show off, would you even notice me?” He put an arm around her shoulders like a buddy, earning a glare from her. “Fine, whatever. As long as it’s yours, it’s good. I like it all!”

“My sister told me to take good care of you and wait for her to come back for our wedding.” He smiled sheepishly, his handsome face gentle.

She exploded with anger and jumped to her feet. “Stop dreaming, you shameless creep!” Her face was red.

“Childhood sweethearts can’t escape each other. I was only joking. Why are you blushing? Could it be that you really want to marry me?”

“Get lost, get lost, get lost!”

Tree shadows swayed, faintly visible beneath the water, where the pure white curtains could be seen.

The years swept away half a lifetime, the years cast their shadows over the sea. Deep in our memories lies that first summer, filled with memories of our youth.

But back then we were too young, too awkward, too headstrong.

We forgot to seize the moment, forgot to hold on.

By the time the flowers fell and the tides ebbed, by the season of rain and rustling leaves, half a lifetime had slipped away.

Those days of old feel like yesterday, vivid in every detail.
