Falling for the Male Host

[Author's note] I want to stand before the country's 1.3 billion people and say out loud: I love you.

Living together means a couple who are in love, or about to fall in love, sharing a roof, caring for and supporting each other.

Sounds pretty suggestive, doesn't it? Pretty romantic, right?

Of course, people win the lottery, too, so living together can bring a big prize as well.

Jian Yu thinks she must have hit the jackpot. She struck out in love but excelled in her studies, taking a year off from college and still managing to get into the journalism graduate program at A University, one of the country's most prestigious schools! She bragged to her family and friends, “I'm going to school to pursue my dreams, not to run away from love. I'm not running away from love...”

But... on the very first day she moved into the apartment, Jian Yu discovered that she had been “moved in with” someone.

And can someone explain why her housemate is a specially appointed instructor at A University, who teaches in the journalism department, no less?

His name is Zhang Le. He's a man of poor character, yet somehow he has a crowd of female students infatuated with him.

Jian Yu discovers that she and Zhang Le are sworn enemies. In class, he keeps “asking” her to answer questions. After class, he smiles and says, “Jian Yu, what are we having for dinner tonight?”

Then Zhang Le saunters away, leaving Jian Yu with a chill down her spine. If looks could kill, she'd have died a hundred times over. Once again, she's become everyone's public enemy.

She thinks he hates her, and of course, she hates him too.

Until one day, Zhang Le brings a woman home, then goes into the bedroom... and then...

That's when Jian Yu realizes they don't just hate each other.

Jian Yu: “I'm moving out!”

Zhang Le: “Why?”

Jian Yu: “I'm no fool. I won't be someone's invention!”

Zhang Le, confused: “Nuwa's?”

Jian Yu, furious: “Edison's!”

He laughs to himself. Jian is jealous! His laughter stops. “Don't worry, you couldn't be one anyway. You're not bright enough!”

This story is entirely fictional. The plot simply requires that it be set in Nanjing. Although Jiangsu TV exists, nothing related to Jiangsu TV will appear in the story. Please bear with me, hehe!
