Ruling the World: The Regent Princess

The Baili clan is a newly risen family of power in the capital. Its eldest son married a princess, and its eldest daughter became empress. Though they came from the countryside and had few family members, talented people emerged one after another from their ranks. Baili Weixun, the youngest daughter of a princess, was burdened with great responsibilities from an early age. Sent to live in another household as a child, she endured countless hardships, but unexpectedly formed a bond with a general’s eldest son. A casual childhood remark led to the young princess being betrothed to the eldest son of a marquis’s house. She then left home to study martial arts. After nine years of hardship, she finally became the master of the Luoyou Valley. Baili Weixun might not be skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, or painting, but she could command armies and shape the realm above, and wield a blade on horseback across the battlefield below. When she finally returned, the capital was already seething beneath the surface. The emperor trusted the wrong people, the Crown Prince was viciously framed and had no desire to inherit the throne, the legitimate princess was tricked into a distant marriage, and a pretender to the throne sought to become empress in her place. Corrupt ministers dominated court and threw the government into chaos, the Ghost Gate threatened the imperial court, her elder brother was harmed and lost his wife and daughter, and her eldest sister’s jealousy led her to frame their mother, causing her death. To protect the realm, save her family, and punish her enemies, Baili Weixun turned the tide in the midst of crisis. Wielding the Imperial Whip, she purged the court and restored the country to its former glory. Once peace returned, she meant to leave, but instead she was named Crown Princess and saddled with raising the former Crown Prince’s son. Baili Weixun was a little saddened: Her own son could fake his death and live freely from then on, but now she had to become this exhausting empress! The male lead took her hand and smiled tenderly. “Whatever you choose to do, I’ll always support you and help shoulder your burdens.” ☆☆☆☆ This is a transmigration novel. The heroine transmigrates into the ancient world. 1. The writing is a little immature at first, but improves a lot later on. 2. If you like it, please add it to your favorites~ o(∩_∩)o 3.
