The Demon Lord's Silly Fox Consort

“Dumb Consort? Dumb Consort? You're the dumb one, you and your whole family!” A little red fox stood on a stool, angrily shouting into the golden palace hall. * * Mingzhu felt that she was unbelievably unlucky. It was as if all the bad karma of her ancestors for eight generations had landed on her alone. How else could she have fallen into a sewer for no reason? And why had she turned into a fox when she woke up? When people transmigrate, they become a consort or an empress. Why had she transmigrated into a demon? “Little fox, how about you stay with me? I'll feed you and give you a place to live,” a handsome man said with a kind, beaming smile. “Sure, sure!” She didn't know if he could understand her, but she nodded anyway. What a kind, beautiful man! “Here, put your paw on this contract of servitude!” The handsome man continued to smile kindly. “Okay!” And just like that, the little fox unwittingly sold herself. The handsome man smiled broadly, showing his teeth but not his eyes. “I'll make sure you eat and drink well from now on!” * * She thought she'd found a sugar daddy, but to her dismay, he turned out to be a wolf in fine clothes, a heartless Huang Shiren. Could there be another fox in the world who wore a skirt exposing her fluffy little backside and performed a pole dance on a stage for a crowd of spoiled brats? Amid the crowd's cheers, a certain man gave a wicked smile, lazily waved his fan, and picked up Mingzhu, the little fox, who was so exhausted she was nearly dead. “Little Fox, with all this silver, we can head to the next town.” Mingzhu shuddered and struggled with her paws, determined to escape the clutches of the beautiful but poisonous man. The man raised an eyebrow. “Little Fox, don't want to go?” Mingzhu sprawled on the ground and pretended to be dead. The man sighed languidly. “It's fine if you don't want to go. I heard the young lord of this town collects fox pelts. After your stunning performance, he may already know about you.” Mingzhu trembled, but kept pretending to be dead. The man's voice rose. “Why are they here so soon?” Mingzhu's round black eyes flew open in terror, and with a thump she dove into his arms. A fox has to bow its head under another's roof. Performing for a living is better than selling your body. * * This is a doting romance with a powerful, scheming male lead and a muddleheaded, adorable heroine. Come join the fun!
