Here's a recommendation for my new novel. Go ahead and read it, I'll keep updating, and I've already got chapters saved up.
http://read.xxsy.net/info/381046.html [The Foolish Prince's Young, Beloved Physician]
She's an absolute troublemaker. She'd rather see everyone else lose than let herself suffer! She fears nothing and no one!
Her motto is: “Life is hard to come by, so why make things difficult for yourself?”
He's a frail prince, adored by the emperor and surrounded by countless treasures. He stays home to recuperate and has plenty of free time, which is why he marries the troublemaker.
*
The word is that the Idle Prince dotes on his princess consort to an absurd degree! He not only smiles and lets her cause trouble, but even cleans up her messes whenever something goes wrong.
The concubines in the household are green with envy, but their schemes against the princess consort are useless! The Idle Prince simply doesn't care! From then on, there are no more household intrigues to watch.
Nobody can stop the Idle Prince from spoiling his princess consort!!!
*
[Scene One]
“My lord! This is bad! The princess consort is fighting with several of the ladies in the back courtyard!” a page hurried in to report.
“Is my beloved all right?” The Idle Prince sprang up from his chair and rushed out, looking anxious.
The page silently rolled his eyes behind him. “My lord! How could the princess consort be the one in trouble? The other ladies are the ones in trouble!”
*
And here's the latest!
The word is that the emperor has ordered the Idle Prince's consort imprisoned! In the middle of the night, the Idle Prince broke into the prison and gave up all his riches and glory to roam the land with her.
The emperor was furious and put the Idle Prince and his consort on the wanted list!
*
[Scene Two]
“Husband, we're wanted all over the country. Everyone's seen our faces, so it'll be hard to find work. Are we going to starve?”
“Hmm? Is that so? I can't find work either. Are scholars having a hard time these days? Is all my learning really useless?”
“Scholarship won't fill our stomachs. I think I'll go back to my old line of work.”
“?”
“Being a hoodlum!”
*
Later, the once-famous Idle Prince and his consort gradually faded from public view.
Whenever someone happened to ask about them, people would say over tea, “I hear the Idle Prince was willing to become a commoner to save his consort, and she followed him into the countryside, where they made a living farming.”
Later generations called it the downfall of a once-great couple, but what they didn't know was that perhaps this was exactly the life the couple wanted!
*
[Scene Three]
“Husband, we need to take precautions. Having a baby is hard, and raising one is even harder. One is enough,” a woman said, lying in bed and gazing at her handsome husband.
“My dear, leave the harder part to me. Contraception is bad for your health. We can't do that!”
[The Literary Synopsis]
Whenever the troublemaking princess consort causes trouble, the Idle Prince quietly cleans up after her.
Perhaps she dares to make trouble because she knows that no matter what happens, her husband will always stand behind her with a smile, never leaving her. And she will never leave him, either.
He smiles and lets her make trouble because he loves her.
Isn't there a kind of devotion called silent love?
★
These days, nobody wants to read novels about such faithful love anymore. Even fewer people care for a slow, gentle romance that unfolds little by little.
The author knows this is just a way to entertain herself. Even if she's only fooling herself, she'll keep having fun anyway!
