His Beloved Scheming Wife

The first time she saw him, a girl was giving him a thorough tongue-lashing. He looked just like a lovelorn man who wouldn't leave her alone. The second time, he'd finished work but was starving. Before he had even made it across the sidewalk, he collapsed at her feet from hunger. The third time, he was busy stuffing his face. Unfortunately, he had no money with him. Yet again, their chance encounter was straight out of a melodrama. The fourth time, he was asking for directions. He explained that he couldn't find his way home. The fifth time, he bravely stopped a purse snatcher. He wasn't good with words, and the thief turned the tables on him. He nearly ended up at the police station, but luckily she happened to be there. On the spot, she decided to marry him, because she wanted to find out just how dumb this man could be. Who would have thought that Huaxiwuhua, a woman who was practically perfect, would be rejected by a simpleton? That enraged the young miss. Men had killed themselves for her, and couples had both fallen in love with her, ending up unable to marry. All she had to do was nod, and countless men would fight for the chance to marry her. She never thought she would come up empty-handed and be rejected. She approached him step by step, just for fun. But he was afraid of falling in love with her, so he retreated step by step. In the end, he lost his heart, but she ran off. He was left in tears, not knowing where to look for her. Just when he was overwhelmed by longing, she suddenly appeared and said, “I think I've fallen in love with you.” When his friends tried to make things difficult for her, she simply smiled. “Whether I love that simpleton is none of your business. Only he needs to know.” When her parents objected, she found it even harder to understand. “You couldn't give me what he has. I don't understand how you can want me to be happy and still take my happiness away. Do you know how cruel that is? I really don't ask for much. I only hope that when I come home late at night, there'll be a light on for me. I truly don't want much...” But much later, she discovered that this simpleton was actually the one she loved most... You've got to be kidding! That simpleton doesn't look like him at all, no matter how you look at him! Funny scene one: Snowflakes swirled through the air as the two of them went to withdraw money from an ATM at the bank. They happened to arrive when an armored truck was delivering cash. Guards stood at the entrance protecting the huge load of RMB, every one of them armed and looking imposing. A certain silly fool asked with concern, “Are your hands cold?” Huaxiwuhua glared at him, clearly displeased. “They're cold.” Four guns immediately pointed at them, and they were very proudly sent to the police station. The charge: attempting to rob the cash. Funny scene two: The first stop on the FIRE band's world tour was Paris. The concert was packed with tens of thousands of people, and she had been invited as a guest of honor. Carl came onstage in an elegant white evening gown, violin in hand. His eyes settled on her heavy smoky makeup, and boundless tenderness welled in his clear blue eyes. In a low, gentle voice, he spoke in fluent English: “Welcome, everyone. Thank you for joining us at FIRE's musical extravaganza today. I want to be honest with you: I'm married, and my wife is right down there. If you love me, please help protect the woman I love. If anyone acts out, I will leave the music industry without hesitation and never return. This isn't a threat. I love you all too, and I hope my honesty will earn your understanding. As a husband, if my work causes trouble for my wife, I'd rather give it up, even though I love it.” The moment he finished speaking, the audience erupted. Some people began to cry, then broke into loud sobs. Some even cursed the woman as shameless for stealing their idol away. Huaxiwuhua sighed with relief, secretly pleased that she wasn't the unlucky woman in question.
