Seven Years of Heartbreak

She loves him, and has for seven whole years, but his heart has always belonged to another woman.

It takes her a lifetime to forget him, yet she still cannot escape his grasp.

On the day she marries him, she thinks she’ll be happy, even though she knows the wedding is nothing more than a plot devised for the woman he loves.

On the day they divorce, she signs her name through tears, only to run into him and the woman he loves most at a restaurant.

…

He doesn’t love her, yet the first time he sees her, she unsettles him.

He doesn’t love her, yet the second time she quietly tries to get away, he takes her.

He doesn’t love her, yet he keeps her imprisoned like a caged bird.

…

Can love truly only be understood when it has reached a dead end…?

The author was inspired to write this story after listening to Tao Jingying’s “Too Wronged” more than a dozen times.

At first, I was far too influenced by “Too Wronged,” but by the time I wrote the chapter about Dong, I’d managed to break free of it. If you like it, dear readers, come experience the atmosphere of this story for yourselves.

This is an angst-filled story. Enter at your own risk!

Enough chatter. Let’s borrow the usual tired lines: If you have votes, cast them; if you’re just passing through, bookmark the story. If you have neither, I’ll spank you!
