Our country's historical dramas have almost covered the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the Qin Emperor and Han Dynasty, the conflict between Chu and Han, the Three Kingdoms, then the Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties, Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, and finally the Republic of China. But there are very few written about the two Jin Dynasties, and the stories involving the Southern and Northern Dynasties are still empty! However, it was precisely in the Southern and Northern Dynasties that the famous scientist Zu Chongzhi appeared; the thinker Fan Zhen who wrote "The Theory of the Destruction of Gods" appeared; the Taoist milestone figure, the famous doctor Tao Hongjing, who was known as the "Prime Minister of the Mountains"; the famous geographer Li Daoyuan appeared! There was also the prosperity of Buddhism; the prosperity of art... What is described in my play is the above-mentioned characters and the picture of this era. These are a group of senior intellectuals in ancient my country, the elites of our Chinese nation! The Northern and Southern Dynasties were truly troubled times, and the characters in the play: Huishen, Zu Chongzhi, Fan Zhen, Tao Hongjing, Xie Taijun, etc. Are typical Chinese elites. Hence the title of the play: "Elites in Troubled Times". The script "Elites in Troubled Times" is a flashback and legendary drama that spans time and space.
