He is a carefree prince, born with the wicked reputation of being “the curse of his father and the ruin of his country.” Exiled to a remote land, he was left to fend for himself.
She is the Sixth Young Master of the Lu family. After her birth mother died, she was adopted by her stepmother, but her father showed her no affection and her mother none at all. She had only an empty title to her name.
At their first meeting, he ruined her porcelain carving and sneered, “First come, first served.”
At their second meeting, she stole the jade pendant from his waist and said triumphantly, “This is mine now.”
At their third meeting, he saw her dressed in red, looking pretty and lively, and remarked in surprise, “So you really are a girl.”
If their first meeting was enmity, and the second a fateful entanglement, then the third...
The prince rubbed his chin and waved a hand. “This woman is mine.”
She had been a fish in the water and a bird in the sky. But after the prince set his sights on her, those freedoms seemed to drift farther and farther away. In a fit of anger, she slapped the table and shouted, “You, surnamed Yin! If I can’t handle you, I’ll stop being a Lu!”
Hearing her words, the prince paused as he toyed with the jade ring in his hand and asked, seemingly unconcerned, “Then whose name will you take?”
Young Master Lu, completely unaware of the trap, waved a hand grandly and shouted, “Yours!”
The prince finally heard what he wanted. He put down the ring and smiled. “Good.”
Young Master Lu blinked, completely bewildered. What had she just heard?

“Hey, a real man should act with honor and integrity. Your Highness, why have you brought so many people to block my way?”
Seeing Yin Shaomo arrive with a crowd, Young Master Lu's legs nearly gave out, but she still held her head high and tried to look tough.
Yin Shaomo sat astride his tall horse and looked down at her with a chilling smile. “I’m here to take home a certain liar who doesn’t keep her word and teach her a proper lesson, so she remembers not to say things like that so casually.”
A chill ran down Young Master Lu’s spine. She spotted a chance to make a run for it, but the man was too quick and swept her onto his horse. Seeing nothing but darkness ahead, Young Master Lu shouted in frustration, “You, surnamed Yin! A real man doesn’t fight a woman. Put me down!”
Yin Shaomo darkened his expression as he watched the restless young woman on his horse. Then he laughed in anger and cracked his whip. He would show her who was really the man here.
