Half-Demon: Enchanting City

In the final years of the Qing dynasty, the Eight-Nation Alliance invaded Beijing. Nie Rufeng fled with his wife Ying Die and their two daughters to escape their pursuers. Ying Die rode off, driving Rufeng and the girls away while she faced the enemy alone. Suddenly, a pair of snowy white wings sprouted from her back, and she took flight. Fifteen years later, Nie Rufeng's eldest daughter, Qingcheng, met Mingxia, a wealthy young man, and the two fell in love. Thus begins an extraordinary tale of love and hatred, pursuit and escape, humans and demons.
