The Evil Emperor's Precious Little Pet

She is an adorable pet.

What? A spirit fox, a wildcat, a Tibetan mastiff?

Come on, it's not like only furry creatures can be called adorable pets...

She is a little golden turtle.

Ahem, not a tortoise, and not a golden scarab beetle...

A golden turtle! A golden turtle! A tiny golden turtle, gleaming all over with golden light and dazzling brilliance!

The first time he saw her, she was curled up inside her golden shell. On a whim, he put his mouth to the little hole in the shell and puffed into it again and again, like he was blowing up a balloon...

The second time he saw her, he rubbed his hands together and resolved to eat her in one bite. But as soon as he opened his enormous mouth, there came a “crack!” The golden shell remained intact, but his teeth went flying...

She is a peerless beauty, and also a resilient, unyielding little turtle, calm and composed.

He is the evil sovereign of the world, sinister and cunning, and skilled at making his fortune through unscrupulous means. There is no meat he cannot bite through, and no shell he cannot swallow.

Except hers.

She always hides beneath her hard little shell. No matter how he threatens or tempts her, she remains unmoved.

He can neither bite through her nor swallow her.

So he made a momentous decision:

He would stop trying to drag her out of her shell and instead practice curling up until, one day, he could crawl into her little shell and stay there with her...

P.S. This is a one-on-one romance, and both the male and female leads are pure in body and mind.
