Dream of the Red Chamber: Drunk on Love in the Jade Waters

A marriage destined by jade and gold brings Daiyu into the palace by imperial decree. A string of beads and a deliberately issued edict set everything in motion. Against her will, she marries the peerlessly elegant Prince Beijing. He knows that marrying her is part of someone else’s plot, but accepts it. He knows she is a pawn in his opponent’s hands, but accepts that too. As the winds and storms shift, he says, “Let me love you in my own way.” She faces misunderstandings with calm and turns aside every provocation with grace. As they stand together, he says, “Let me weather every storm with you.” The realm is like a dream, and love intoxicates. In this contest, I will never back down, for you are my princess. Using the name of Dream of the Red Chamber, I’ve written a romantic story in my usual style, centered on warmth and tenderness, with no fantasy elements and no silly heroine. I hope that after reading, you’ll remember these characters who once felt so alive.
