Should a transmigrated concubine-born daughter in ancient times wait around to be sold off, or strive to carve out a place of her own?

A vicious principal wife, a cruel legitimate sister, a jealous half-sister... Does her grandmother truly care for her, or is she plotting to use her?

The mansion is a den of intrigue, full of open confrontation and hidden attacks. Can a modern woman fight her way to a clear sky from the confines of the inner quarters? Can she make her mark beyond the mansion gates?

Watch this lowly concubine-born daughter plan with care and advance step by step as she fights her wicked stepmother, punishes her cruel sister, and puts a violent disciple in her place, rising ever higher.

The heroine’s motto: “Live well. Not for love or romance, but for the chance to live once more for myself!”

Scene One

Ruxin looked at the peerlessly handsome man before her and said casually, “My lord, why are you so worked up at the news that I’m getting engaged?”

The man looked at the troublesome young woman before him. “With me here, no one can marry you.”

“Why not?”

“Only I can marry you.”

“And why are you so sure?”

“I’m better than the others.”

“For example?”

“I have power.”

“I’d rather find someone who farms.”

“I have money.”

“Rich men are more likely to cheat.”

“I’m better-looking than them!” he shouted.

“No wonder you have so many admirers. That makes you even less suitable. Actually, there is one thing you’re definitely ahead of them in.”

“What?”

“You’re older than them.”

His face turned completely dark. He snapped, “Fine. I’ll show you whether I’m really old.” As he spoke, he started taking off his clothes.

The woman looked him over. “My lord, you’re certainly well-muscled. I wonder if you’re better than the others in that respect, too.”

The man was furious...

Scene Two

“Ruxin, what’s wrong with marrying me?” the young lord asked, baffled.

“What can you offer me?”

“The position of principal wife.”

“But that’s not what I want.”

“Then what do you want?”

“The house deed, the land deed, and the servant contract.”
