Plant Flowers, Reap a Good Match

To advance from assistant floral horticulturist to senior floral horticulturist, you need at least a bachelor's degree, must pass two certification exams, and have to meet a whole list of additional requirements. To fall from floral horticulturist to a little flower girl in a farming village, all it takes is one accident. It takes twenty years to grow from eight to twenty-eight. To go from twenty-eight back to eight, all it takes is falling ill. A bout of chills and fever sent Xu Qiaojun, who was about to become a senior floral horticulturist, to an ancient farming village, where she became Xu Qiao'er, a little flower girl who was skilled at growing flowers. Life in the countryside was simple yet fulfilling: growing flowers to sell, selling flowers to grow more, over and over again. Winter passed and spring came; flowers bloomed and fell as the days and months turned. When the little flower girl grew up and it was time for her to marry, she could find an honest, down-to-earth man, marry and have children, and carry on with her thriving little life of growing and selling flowers. But the fragrance of flowers draws butterflies. One suitor, then two, then three: she would have to keep her eyes wide open and choose carefully, marrying a good man so she wouldn't waste this transmigration. I'm getting on in years, and I'm fragile in both body and mind. If you don't like this story, please just close the page. Don't leave comments to make things unpleasant. The men in my family won't let you get away with it, either.” “If Miss Qiao'er truly doesn't trust me, why not marry me? If I scheme against you, wouldn't I be scheming against myself?” Xu Qiaojun glared at the man in front of her. They were only going into business together. Did he really have to propose to her? Or had she misheard? Did ‘marry’ mean something else? She hadn't read many books, so he shouldn't try to fool her. Excerpt Two: “G-get your claws off me!” Xu Qiaojun was pinned against a tree trunk. Other people got pushed against walls, but was this a tree-pinning? “Those are hands, not claws.” “Then let go!” Xu Qiaojun cried. “No.” The man's face drew closer and closer. Xu Qiaojun cried out, “What are you doing?” “I'm a lecher, so naturally I'm doing something lecherous.” “Ah, mmph, mmph, mmph…”
