Excerpt:

“My lord, the princess consort slapped the Empress Dowager.”

“Oh! Not bad. I wonder if her hand hurts.”

“Half the Empress Dowager's face is swollen.” That showed just how strong their princess consort's hand was.

“The princess consort has such soft, delicate hands. How could she do something so rough? Her hand must hurt.”

The guard thought to himself: My lord, the Empress Dowager is your own mother!

Another day

“My lord, this is bad! The princess consort bit the empress, and the empress's hand is all bruised.”

“That must have hurt.”

“Exactly! The empress was rolling around on the floor in pain.”

“The princess consort is a person. How could the empress be rolling around on the floor? You must have it wrong. Go tell the palace physicians to examine the princess consort properly. If her teeth are damaged, I won't let them off.”

Yet another day

“My lord, the princess consort has been detained.”

“Who dares detain my beloved consort?”

“It... it's the emperor himself.”

“He's gone too far! Doesn't he know Qiqi is my beloved consort? Gather the troops at once. We're going to storm the palace, so no one will dare bully my Qiqi again.”

The guard was utterly speechless. My lord, nobody else is bullying the princess consort. She's the one bullying them! I've seen men dote on women, but if our lord isn't number one, no one else could possibly be.

One day

“My beloved, how about we have a little wolf pup?”

“Who said I was a dog?”

“Definitely not me.”

“But those words just came out of your mouth, so I'll take it that you said them. To punish you for your mistake, you're sleeping on the floor tonight.”

I'm not good at writing blurbs, but this is a one-on-one romance with plenty of doting. Stay tuned...
