On the day of her coming-of-age ceremony, she accidentally wandered into the Blood Bat tribe. Her curiosity led her to uncover a shocking secret, and a transforming blood bat knocked her unconscious. When she woke, everything had changed.
Part One
“What’s this?” Xiao Y gazed at Lin Yi in confusion.
“A hand,” he replied calmly.
“What’s this?” It was so long and white. Xiao Y couldn’t help licking her lips.
“A leg.” A hint of helplessness entered his calm voice.
“What’s this?” It was so ugly, but still so white.
“A foot.” Could you stop asking such pointless questions? Even a fool knows that!
“What’s this?” Xiao Y suddenly opened her big eyes so wide they looked ready to pop out.
What if he just didn’t answer?
“I heard this is edible, right?” Would it taste sweet or sour?
“Uh, I guess so?” She really was a curious little thing.
“You don’t know?” Her tone clearly showed she didn’t believe him.
“Uh, right.” So this was how people supposedly humored children.
…
Watching her lower her head and take a hard bite, he didn’t have time to stop her.
“Ow, that hurts!”
The poor man was speechless!!!
Part Two
“Hubby, I’m tired.” Shamelessly clinging to Lin Yi’s arm, she didn’t care that it was already covered with all the spoils of their shopping spree.
Lin Yi resigned himself to shifting everything onto both arms. Gritting his teeth, he said, “Climb on. I’ll carry you.”
“It’s uncomfortable being carried, and you’d take advantage of me.” Heh, she wasn’t that easy to fool.
Speechless!!
“Come here, I’ll hold you.” He stretched out the arms laden with shopping bags, looking every bit like a man heroically facing his fate.
“That’s more like it.” She leaped lightly into his arms, her cunning shamelessness reaching new heights.
A minute later…
“Boss, does this count as me taking advantage of you for a change?” She wrapped her arms around her husband’s neck, her hands wandering as she flashed a sweet smile.
With a wife like this, what were ten more bags?
Part Three
“What are you doing?” A man’s furious shout nearly made the three people circling in the air fall to the ground. They were more than ten meters up!
“Flying,” the woman answered for the other two, since the little ones still couldn’t speak very well.
“Here?” How could she even say that?
“Yeah, it’s so open here.” She was pleased with herself, proud to have found such a great place where nobody would spot them.
“Didn’t you see all those planes overhead?” His face tightened. He wanted to fly up, drag her down, and give her bottom a good spanking.
“It’s fine. They’re so high up, they can’t hurt us.” The scatterbrained woman kept playing in the air with the little ones.
“Aren’t you afraid the people on the planes will see you and lock you in a cage like a lab rat? They’ll cut you open, slice your intestines, and watch the blood drain from your body?” His malicious tone was full of displeasure.
“Ew, ew, stop saying that!”
“What’s wrong? Weren’t you having a great time flying just now?” the man pressed on.
“I’m done flying. Let’s go home.” Ugh, she felt like throwing up again.
“What’s wrong with you? You’re as skinny as a stick. If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were pregnant again. You can fly, but get dizzy and nauseous?”
“Actually, I am.” Her voice was perfectly calm, as if she were commenting on the nice weather.
“What?” The man shouted again, nearly dropping the two little ones he had just caught in his arms.
“I’m having a baby. What’s wrong with you, Hubby? It’s not the first time I’ve been pregnant. What’s the big deal?”
…
“How many is this now?” He was at a loss for words.
“Looks like the third?”
Please forgive this inadequate synopsis.
