Mu Wanqing, a 21st-century female forensic examiner, transmigrates overnight into the Jinghua Dynasty, where she becomes the fiancée of the Prince of Zhongyong, betrothed to him before birth.
Her former self was hot-tempered, overbearing, and willful, and had been banished to the cold palace.
She suffered through the disaster at the city gates, was ignored by the prince, and was treated as a nobody even by the steward and servants.
Damn it, just because the tiger hasn’t shown its claws, you think I’m Hello Kitty! Drawing on her forensic expertise, she solves wrongful cases in the manor, disciplines the stewards, and earns respect. From then on, she claims a place in the prince’s manor, and in his heart as well.
The prince, a master of martial arts and a striking beauty, lets a little tenderness show. Before she knows it, she’s fallen for him.
Sadly, her good fortune doesn’t last. To marry the esteemed Princess Qingyang, the prince sets her up to be caught in an affair and casts her out with a clear conscience.
That’s when she learns that men are about as reliable as pigs climbing trees!

Stranded on the streets and penniless, she racks her brains for a way to make a living.
She knows nothing of music, chess, calligraphy, or painting, and business is not for her. All she has is her exceptional skill at examining corpses. Damn it, the yamen won’t hire female officials!
With nowhere else to turn, she can only sell herself as a maid.
Amid a family feud, the sickly third young master of the Yu family is sent away to serve as an official. Without a second thought, she immediately applies to accompany him.
Heh, now’s her chance to show what she can do!
She solves wrongful cases and cracks cold cases, while crossing paths with countless handsome men. See how this 21st-century female forensic examiner makes her mark in ancient times!
Woohoo, Mengmeng has a new novel out! Please give it lots of support. This one is different from my usual style: it has some comedy and a bit of mystery-solving. The heroine is independent and strong, good at dry humor, and efficient at work, but a total kid in private.
P.S. I’m used to writing angsty novels (that’s my readers’ opinion; I reserve judgment). When I suddenly wanted to write a funny heroine, I spent ages wondering how to do it and asked all my friends and family. Their answer was, “Just write her the way you write yourself, Meng.” And so the heroine of this novel came into being!
