Another Dream of the Red Chamber

By the way, the first five sections of this book are written as long poems. If you don’t want to read them, you can start with “The Illusory Realm, Where Fate Begins: Revised Version.” That’s where the prose story begins. This chapter serves as an opening, so don’t worry about it not connecting to what came before. Here’s another Dream of the Red Chamber story. I hadn’t planned to write another one, since I’ve already started working on a different novel. This Dream was originally written as a long poem, but so few people read it. I couldn’t bear to abandon a story that had already taken shape in my mind, so I turned it into an ordinary prose novel instead. This is a story about Daiyu, Baochai, and Baoyu, beginning when they are children. There aren’t many schemes and intrigues, just entanglements of the heart. As for which will prevail, the golden-and-jade match or the wood-and-stone alliance, you’ll have to read the story to find out. Since this was adapted from a long poem, I don’t have any chapters saved up. I have to write and update it day by day, so if you’re impatient, try not to rush. Take your time and read on! I’m reluctant to give up the long-poem format, but I’ve had to make that sacrifice. I hope you enjoy this story.
