Tears Beneath the Xiao Xiang Moon

I wrote this story about the Red Chamber and Daiyu because a dream has lingered in my heart. In it, I always see her pure, delicate figure and the quiet strength in her eyes. It pains me that someone so lovely should die after crying herself dry, leaving so many regrets. Yinsi is my favorite male lead. Daiyu's gentleness paired with his strength, soft and hard complementing each other, might bring them a perfect ending. Why is it that on his stern face, all I see is loneliness? Why is it that his gentle, jade-like figure always seems so alone? My tears are only for you, Yinsi. You can only be mine. My Xiaoxiang Consort. My love, my very soul. I will always be your home. Featured Excerpt He silently gazed at his precious treasure, as if admiring a peerless masterpiece. Suddenly, as though struck by an idea, he swept his hand through the air. Peach blossoms began to fall from the sky like rain. Daiyu, standing beneath them, seemed like a sprite, her pink dress and green ribbons dancing in the breeze. Realizing what was happening, Daiyu sprang to her feet, gazing at the shower of peach blossoms in delight. Peach blossoms, a rain of petals, just like in her long-ago dream. Then she looked at Yinzhen and blushed. The person in her dream had clearly been him. Was she, like the dream had said, the celestial maiden who had descended to the mortal world? Looking at Daiyu, Yinzhen felt an irresistible urge. He stepped forward, gently took her by the shoulders, and leaned close to whisper in her ear, “Dai'er, I've waited a thousand years for you.” Then he reached out and smoothed the crease between her brows. “I don't want to talk about the past. From now on, your memories will hold only me,” he said, then possessively kissed her between the eyebrows. Daiyu stared blankly at Yinzhen's actions. She hadn't even refused him.
