The study of biographical literature is one of the core issues in contemporary humanities academic discussions. "A Study of Arab Biographical Literature" is the first monograph in China that systematically studies Arabic biographical literature. From the perspective of a Chinese scholar, the author clarifies the historical trajectory and general form of the emergence, development, and evolution of Arab biography/autobiography literature, explores the overall representation and narrative style of this genre in the historical development process, especially in the modern and contemporary historical and cultural context, analyzes the similarities and differences between Arab biographical literature and Western biographical literature, as well as the cultural, political, religious, linguistic and other factors that produce differences, reflects the Arab national personality and Islamic cultural characteristics, and enriches the research dimension and perspective of biographical literature in China.
