This book is an academic monograph. "Straight-over ethnic groups" specifically refer to ethnic minorities who directly transitioned from primitive society or slave society to socialist society. The manuscript takes the development of the Wa people as the "Zhiguo ethnic group" in Yunnan as the main line of research, and selects the rural areas where the Wa people live in Sipaishan as a point to analyze the problem. Through SWOT analysis, it puts forward suggestions and countermeasures to promote the development of the rural areas where the "Zhiguo ethnic group" live. The book has two parts. The first one explains the concise history, folk customs, etc. Of the Wa people; the second one mainly describes the current development status of the Wa people in China and the development of the Sipaishan Wa settlement township as a selected site. It also puts forward development strategies and suggestions based on the development opportunities in reality.
