This book is divided into five volumes. The overall structure of this book shows the author's concept of children's literature discipline: children's literature is a discipline with its own distinctive theory, literary history and literary criticism, and has the two attributes of interdisciplinarity and practical application. The papers in the collection provide some important theoretical topics and academic perspectives for the discipline construction of children's literature. The first volume of "History of Chinese Children's Literature" emphasizes the "oneness" of modern Chinese literature and children's literature; develops the theoretical method of constructivist essentialism; adopts an "ideological revolution" stance and perspective on "tradition"; and puts forward the important concept of "differentiation period" in epochal history. The second volume of "Children's Literature Theory" focuses on the study of children's literature concepts and develops a contemporary "child-oriented" children's literature concept. The third volume of "Children's Literature Criticism" is a critical practice of the "child-centered" theory constructed by the author. The fourth volume "On Japanese Children's Literature" shows the author's international vision of children's literature research. The most important academic contribution of the fifth volume of "Research on Chinese Education and Children's Education" is that it proposes a "constructivist" view of Chinese based on reflection on the "instrumentalist" view of Chinese.
