This book is a type of research on reading folk journals. It systematically studies reading folk journals, including descriptions of each reading folk journal and case studies. The whole book consists of three parts, namely chronicles from folk journals, remaining words from weekly magazines, and the Analects from reading journals. The appendixed materials are historical materials from reading folk journals, which are of great cultural and publishing value.

Chenghua has endless historical stories. Chenghua has a cultural landscape that I never tire of. The history of Chenghua is part of the long history of Bashu; the civilization growing on the land of Chenghua is an important part of the splendid Bashu civilization. In order to present this dazzling history and culture to people in a concentrated and clear way, while also preserving a precious spiritual wealth for future generations, the Chenghua District Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Chenghua District People's Government, based on the resource endowment and reality of the entire district, will organize the preparation and publication of the "Chengdu·Chenghua History and Humanities Series" as one of the important contents of the "Cultural Brand Building" project. The Propaganda Department of the Chenghua District Committee, the Chenghua District Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Chenghua District Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau, the Chenghua District Geography Office and other units took the lead in planning and organized a group of scholars and writers to jointly complete this series of books, which includes a comprehensive volume and a street volume, totaling 20 volumes. There are six comprehensive volumes and fourteen street volumes. The comprehensive volume narrates the past of Shahe from a macro perspective, cleans up historical relics, tells Hakka stories, describes the experience of pandas, expresses the development of poetry, and looks back at the glorious achievements of industrial civilization in the eastern suburbs. The street volume starts with more details, focusing on excavating and sorting out the historical and cultural fragments contained in the community and among the people. "Chengdu·Chenghua History and Humanities Series" is an in-depth look at Chenghua's long history and profound culture by Chenghua people, and it is also a deep affection and love that Chenghua people dedicate to the land beneath their feet!
