Zhou Zuoren Yu Pingbo
"Collection of Correspondence between Zhou Zuoren and Yu Pingbo" is a wonderful record of the exchanges between the two cultural giants in the 20th century. The book contains 391 letters, including 210 letters from Zhou Zuoren to Yu Pingbo, dated from March 27, 1922 to March 18, 1933; 181 letters from Yu Pingbo to Zhou Zuoren, dated from March 1, 1921 to August 16, 1964. The two cultural masters, who were in the core creative group of the New Culture Movement, exchanged a lot of letters about their creation and knowledge. Cai Yuanpei, Qian Xuantong, Hu Shi, Ye Shengtao and other important figures in education, academia, and literary circles and related events also appeared from time to time, which fully reflected the social form, cultural background, educational status, exchanges between scholars of that era, their academic views and cultural pursuits, and showed the life picture of them and the people around them.
