This book takes Tang Fu as the object and elaborates on the narrative characteristics of Fu. The author examines Tang Fu under the theoretical presupposition that there are two major traditions of narrative and lyricism in the history of Chinese literature, from the perspective of subject matter, style, narrative subject, narrative structure, narrative paradigm, and listening. It conducts an in-depth and detailed analysis of the rich narrative characteristics contained in Tang Fu at the levels of visual narrative and rhetorical narrative, and at the same time unearths the similarities, differences and symbiotic relationships between Tang Fu and poetry, prose, novels, historical biographies, operas, Bianwen and other literary styles in narrative.
