The manuscript is the author's review of his forensic career. He selected 36 real cases and compiled them into documentary stories. It vividly reproduces the history of the first generation of forensic workers in New China who conducted autopsies and identifications under special circumstances and tried their best to provide evidence for the detection (investigation) of various types of murder cases, especially those key material evidences, which bear the mark of the times. The manuscript includes a preface, introduction, case 3 and other contents. There are 36 cases, including criminal and civil. Each case has the entire process of on-site investigation, corpse (living) examination, identification, investigation and solution. Its content is basically described in three parts: case circumstances and on-site investigation, forensic examination and analysis, investigation and detection. (Note: The cases in the manuscript do not involve confidentiality issues. The names are pseudonyms and the addresses involved are also fictitious. Any similarity is purely coincidental.)
