周汝昌师友书札手迹
Zhou Lunling
Mr. Zhou Ruchang (1918-2012) studied at Yenching University twice in his early years, and later taught at West China University in Chengdu and Sichuan University. He returned to Beijing in 1954 and served successively as editor of People's Literature Publishing House and researcher at the Chinese Academy of Arts. From the 1940s to the beginning of the new century, Mr. Zhou not only wrote a large number of academic treatises, essays, and poems, including "New Evidence of the Dream of Red Mansions" and "Poetry Appreciation", but also participated in the collation and editing of ancient literary books. He also properly preserved a number of precious documents and materials, which are an extremely rich number of letters and calligraphy and painting ink by his mentors and friends. This batch of documents contains rich cultural and academic information and has important historical value and cultural relic value. In view of this, the editorial department of Chung Hwa Book Company specially invited Ms. Zhou Lunling to compile and select this book. The most representative letters, poems, and paintings of Mr. Zhou's mentors and friends will be photocopied and published in their original form, with reference explanations, so that it can benefit scholars and serve as a reference for related research. This book includes Zhang Yuanji, Wang Luanxiang, Xia Renhu, Tao Zhu, Hu Shi, Wu Mi, Gu Sui, Zhang Boju, Xia Chengtao, Yu Pingbo, Xie Guozhen, Wen You, Shang Chengzuo, Nie Gannu, Miao Yue, Zhao Wanli, Zhang Cixi, Qian Zhongshu, Chen Mengjia, Lin Geng, Xu Bangda, He Qi There are nearly 300 pieces of letters and calligraphy and painting ink by 102 scholars and writers including Fang, Qigong, Wu Zeyu, Chen Yidong, Wu Xiaoling, Chen Fan, Liu Cunren, Huang Shang, Tang Degang, Xia Zhiqing, Xu Zhengyang, etc. Each author of the letter has a biography and reference explanations.
