Fu Xuancong (1933-2016) was born in Ningbo, Zhejiang. Famous scholar and publisher, member of the 8th and 9th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, member of the 8th, 9th and 10th Central Committee of the Jiusan Society, librarian of the Central Research Institute of Literature and History, and former editor-in-chief of Zhonghua Book Company. He once served as a member and secretary-general of the State Council's Ancient Books Collection and Publishing Planning Group, a member of the National Ancient Books Collection and Publishing Planning Leading Group, president of the Chinese Tang Dynasty Literature Society, vice-president of the Chinese Verse Society, director of the Classical Literature Research Center of the Chinese Department of Tsinghua University, professor, and doctoral supervisor, and distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Chinese Studies at Renmin University of China. After the death of Mr. Fu Xuancong, his friends, colleagues and students successively wrote some commemorative articles describing his achievements and recalling his style. They are now collected into a collection to commemorate him.
