By analyzing memorials, the carrier of Yanguan's thoughts, this book strives to reveal Yanguan's performance in major events and show the influence and role of this group in modern social changes. From a new research perspective, this paper systematically examines the relationship between the official group and the government in the late Qing Dynasty, discusses the development and changes of the official system, and the impact of the official group on government and social changes. At the same time, it also puts forward a number of new insights on traditional scholar-bureaucrats and social transformation, the operation and gains and losses of the supervisory system in the late Qing Dynasty, and the political disputes between political factions in the late Qing Dynasty. Overall, this result shows how social changes promote the development and changes of social elite groups, making up for the gaps and deficiencies in related research.
