The introduction of this book introduces the intellectual history attributes of dystopian literature, the relationship between utopia and dystopia, the past and present of dystopian themes, and the three sources of Russian utopian literature. Chapters 1 to 4 introduce the development of Russian dystopian literature in four time periods, as well as the characteristics and representative works of each period. Chapters 5 to 12 introduce Russian dystopian literature in eight themes, with an in-depth analysis of a work under each theme.
