This book launches the study of Gongyang Studies from the perspective of Confucian classics. Through the study of the "Biography of Gongyang" and the thoughts of the most influential Gongyang scholars in the past dynasties, it shows the occurrence and development process of Gongyang Studies from the pre-Qin Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty, explores the core value of Gongyang Studies and its impact on Chinese society, and explores the ideological resources in Gongyang Studies that are in line with the spirit of the times. This book takes the case study of Gongyang scholars as the fulcrum, and takes the investigation and combing of the development of Gongyang studies as the main line. At the same time, it combines the economic and political factors and the influence of social trends of thought at that time to reveal the context of changes in Gongyang studies and the characteristics of the times, and analyzes their inheritance and development.
