This book is mainly in the form of an oral history, based on interviews with more than a dozen retired teachers from the Chinese Language School, and reviews the development of Chinese language teaching at Peking University from different perspectives (such as managers, teachers, administrative teaching assistants) and different fields (oral teaching, intensive reading teaching, textbook preparation, organization and arrangement of after-school activities, etc.) - Especially the exploration process of the Chinese Language School in teaching, scientific research and other fields in the past 10 years. Through the personal experiences and feelings of more than ten teachers in the college, studying or working at Peking University, readers are shown a vivid, vivid and colorful historical picture of the Chinese Language School in different stages of development. The book contains about 15 oral history materials and personal memoirs.
