This book is an important achievement of Professor Zhao Minli's many years of research on Han Dynasty poetry. "Song poetry" refers to poetry that can be sung. In early China, poetry and music were integrated, and songs were accompanied by music. This was the basic form of early Chinese poetry. Later, poetry and music gradually separated, and only then did poetry have an independent form of poetic language separated from music. Since the Han Dynasty, it has become two different poetry schools and developed in parallel. The author creatively applies the theory of artistic production to the study of ancient Chinese poetry, combined with the changes in the Yuefu system in the Han Dynasty, to systematically explore the evolution of the special artistic form of "poetry" in the Han Dynasty, revealing its complex generation mechanism, rich content, unique artistic expression, and its special status and huge influence in the history of Chinese poetry.

"History of Chinese Poetry Research (Han Dynasty Volume)" is a treatise that systematically reviews the history of poetry research in the Han Dynasty in the 20th century. The book consists of four chapters. The first chapter introduces the history of research on Han Yuefu poetry from the beginning of the last century to 1980; the second chapter introduces the history of research on Han Yuefu poetry from 1980 to the end of the century; the third chapter introduces the history of research on five-character poetry; the fourth chapter introduces the history of research on four-character, seven-character, and Sao-style poetry. This book summarizes and analyzes the important issues and important treatises on the study of Han Dynasty poetry in the last century.
