The modern Chinese classical poetry school mainly refers to the poetry school that has a deep identification with tradition and has formed a critical relationship with the New Literature Free Verse School. It mainly includes the Jiayin School, the National Essence School, members of the Nanshe School, the Xueheng School, and the New Metrics School in the new literature camp. Although these classical poetic schools also advocate the transformation of ancient poetic styles, their reform ideas are very different from those of the New Literature School. This book systematically examines the "new poetry" concepts of classical-leaning poetry theorists in modern China, and conducts in-depth exploration of the language structure, time awareness, development concepts, and value orientations behind them. This kind of research is of great significance to the dialogue between classical schools and liberal schools, and to the re-start of the theoretical construction of new Chinese poetry.
