Ebony has never been quite... Normal. Neither was his upbringing, but that didn't stop him from living a somewhat normal life. His youthful school life was somewhat chaotic, but otherwise normal. After he turns 15, he is considered old and capable of taking care of himself. He went on to graduate high school and enter college without any problems. Ebony has never had any problems in life. He is not short of money. He could see his entire future as smooth sailing, and he was sure that everything would go as expected. Graduate, find a stable job, start a family, and live with your partner until old age. Boring. It's not that he doesn't want any of that, and starting a family can be difficult, seeing as how he was single for a solid 20 years. He had little to look forward to in life. His training routine has become ingrained in his memory and has become a habit and a hobby. Reading was an outlet for his boredom, fantasy, sword and sorcery, a world different from his own where his training might be of some use. One moment he's coming back from an interview for a part-time job, and the next he finds himself in a forest. So cool... Snowing in the middle of summer? Unimportant. Suddenly appeared in the forest? Unimportant. A wild boar that is one meter tall and twice as long is in front of you? Cool. Rush towards him? Not cool.
