The story takes place during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. The protagonist, Lu Xiaofeng, was carefully taught by martial arts masters since he was a child, and he became a master of martial arts at the age of twenty. His father's enemy killed six people in one night, and his own beloved wife was also assassinated. The murderer left bloody words at six locations: "The murderer is Lu Xiaofeng", which landed him in jail. Fortunately, he met Governor Lu, who was an official of the Qing Dynasty. He concluded that the case was an unjust case. Not only did he marry his daughter Lu Yuxian, he also gave him a sea arrest document, ordering him to hunt down the murderer. During his pursuit of the murderer, a treasure was lost in the palace, and the thief left a message on the palace wall: "The treasure thief is Lu Xiaofeng." The emperor issued an official arrest warrant, ordering all prefectures and counties to capture "the criminal thief Lu Xiaofeng".
