Special Toilet
Short Fiction特别厕所
Zhang Xuejian
Nowadays, everyone is in a building. The walls of my old toilet are short and there is no roof, so it can't cover people. I have no choice but to worry about others using it, so I made a wooden shed according to my wife's height and fastened it to the toilet for later use. My wife is short and comes and goes as she pleases. It's difficult for others to use. After using it for two years, I was constantly cursed by my wife. This year, we built a house opposite the door. The house was demolished and the yard was clean. I am the only one with a toilet outside the door. It's really the same. The people across the street are all civilized people. They are so tall and vast that it is very difficult to go to the toilet. Several times I put the canopy on my head when I squatted down. Forget about the embarrassment. I told my wife several times, but she refused to move and was very angry. I had no choice but to follow people's advice and build a new toilet that would be spacious for everyone to come in and out. Won high praise from the folks!

Return to Nature
Short Fiction放归自然
Zhang Xuejian
I came home from school and saw four or five people gathered around my door. When I asked, I found out that they were renters, so I went home and told my mother-in-law, who then let these people live in my house. One day these people carried their big bags and took two sticks and were about to go out when I met them. It happened to be Sunday, so I asked: "What are you doing?" One of the beautiful female elders replied, "Are you going? I'll take you with me?" I asked puzzledly: "What are you doing?" The sister mysteriously and happily said to me, "Go for a walk in the fields!" " "Walking around in the fields? "I wondered, "Okay. Walk. "I agreed, walked up to them, and walked towards the fields on Dongpo with these people. When we got to the fields, I saw them opening their bag and taking out a net. They told me that they were catching birds to eat! "Oh! "That's it. I caught nearly a hundred birds this time!" When I came back, I told my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law kept mumbling, "Guilty, sinful." Then she and my father got into a dispute over this matter. Grandpa asked to let the bird go. No more arrests are allowed in the future. My mother-in-law wants to drive her away. Eventually these people admitted their fault and let the birds fly. Only then can I live in my house.

Pick up a Sledgehammer and Hit Luqi
Short Fiction抡起大锤砸碌碡
Zhang Xuejian
When Zaofu's family built a house, there was a pile of Duluqing (dalukqing poured by the family with cement) from a grinding yard and there was no place to put it. Put it at the base of the wall. People say it can't be placed at the base of the wall. Don't put it at the base of the wall. It's incredibly big and it's not exposed. Let's put it at the door. It'll be an eyesore and take up space, affecting people's travels. You say smash it, it's too big for Jian Zhi to do anything with! Not smashing it has attracted pressure from all parties. There is a superstitious curse! There were strange jibes! There are accusations and endless backbiting from those who influence traffic! A superfluous Daluqi made Zaofu restless! Knock it off. I can't borrow a hammer? Let's smash it with a sledgehammer. Isn't it a joke now? Who is still using a sledgehammer to smash Luqi? Nowadays, people use electric hammers when demolishing houses, smashing cement surfaces, and smashing rocks! How can anyone hit it with a sledgehammer? These discussions made him heartbroken. Stop it! The first is not done, the second is not cultivated. He finally decided to smash this Duluqi! Lest people talk about this and that all day long. These nonsense words would annoy him to death! Now that the decision has been made, Zaofu is about to smash the Dalugang. At first, people laughed at and blocked me. He even got into a fight with his mother-in-law! In the end, he bit the bullet and used the ancient and stupid method of manually swinging a sledgehammer to smash the lumps to pieces. It relieved the big knot that had been weighing on my heart for many years. He responded to all kinds of ridicule with facts and won people's praise. This work describes the whole process of the protagonist Zaofu smashing Luqi in the form of a narrative poem. It shows Zaofu's wisdom and strength. Praise for the foolish spirit of the working people.

Auspicious Bird Wild Magpie
Short Fiction吉祥鸟野鹊
Zhang Xuejian
I saw a lot of birds on other people's big trees, which was very strange. Every day the birds chirped and jumped around in the shade of the trees. I was very envious. I also wish I had a big tree at home with so many birds. How nice! So I planted a tree, and it grew and attracted birds, just like other trees. The yard has truly become a happy place shared by humans and animals. Who knows, everything has its advantages and disadvantages. The wild magpie's call is very pleasant, but this guy has a problem of making poop at will, and the whole yard is dirty every day. At first, I was disgusted, but later I cleaned them regularly. As time went by, I no longer complained about the wild magpies. As soon as it poops, I will clean it. Slowly I feel like I am working harder. The house is always clean. I am very grateful to the wild magpie, it has made me diligent! This is probably the reason why people often say, "When a wild magpie crows on a branch, something happy is bound to happen." Later, when I was building a house, I had to cut down trees. I really couldn't bear to tear down the birds' nests! The trees fell down, and the wild magpies lost their nests. They were in chaos and anxious, and the tree-cutting hawks couldn't do anything. I came back, took a look, picked up the bird's nest, put it with the bird on the roof, sprinkled some steamed buns in front of the bird's beak, and put a plate of water. The wild magpie saw it and kept chirping from afar, but did not attack me. From this I realized that birds, like humans, also know good and evil. Also know how to be grateful. So I decided to build a nest for the wild magpie in our new house, so that the bird can share the happiness of family life with us!
